 COACHING DEVELOPMENT

During the season 2006, the coaching staff will be working closely with the Notts E.B.A. to further encourage the development of junior bowling. It is hoped to form competitions for juniors under the age of 18, with play at the Notts Headquarters green. Representing the County will continue, with debuts having already been given to promising 10 to 15 year old youngsters. All clubs (whether indoor or outdoor) are asked to forward the names of any junior they feel has potential. Practice sessions designed to encourage self-esteem and basic skills are envisaged. Parents are warmly welcome to attend sessions that are already ongoing at several clubs and to offer expertise with club committees wherever possible. All names received will be forwarded to the Notts EBA Team Manager. The last few years have seen an explosion of young talent, and fine sportsmanship, from boys and girls of all ages. We wish to continue and encourage even more to enjoy our fine game.
